Our Mission

Welcome to Motherhood Minute

There are two different ways to find community in Motherhood Minute: a digital newsletter (hosted on Substack) and a printed magazine that’s published every quarter.

Both have their own unique content features, but they are built with the same goals:

  • To connect moms with mental health resources

  • To support creatives and publish more mothers

  • To give moms a minute of connection and peace

If you’re looking to support these ventures, consider becoming a subscriber to support the work we do! Digital reads are always free.

This magazine holds mental health articles between the works of featured artists and writers, offering readers the opportunity to pause, read, and even contribute to the conversation.

A letter from the founder

Motherhood Minute started out as a newsletter written in the 2 am hours of my early parenthood journey. It grew from a quiet place of personal reflection to a community-driven experiment that could uplift the experiences of mothers outside of my own.

We’ve featured guest posts, interviewed mothers of all backgrounds, and created two amazing virtual Mental Health and Motherhood summits with a combined total of 37 speakers.

We’ve had a core mission statement guiding all of this work: to connect mothers with mental health resources and offer a low-barrier approach that deeply values community and connection.

After the 2025 summit survey, we found that:

» 75% of surveyed moms said the online format allowed them to watch around caregiving responsibilities

» 100% of surveyed moms agreed that this event made them more aware of mental health resources for mothers.

But a barrier still remained: caregiving was also the primary factor for missing out on live events or recording access.

This was no surprise to me, as I found myself sewing a pair of shorts for my daughter mid-session of the last event, despite having a supportive husband trying to keep my office from interruptions.

Since I can’t solve the larger problem of accessible childcare on my own, I started thinking about another practical way to meet mothers where they are.
